Will miss multiple weeks
Stefanovic (foot) suffered a broken fifth metatarsal and is expected to be sidelined for around eight to 10 weeks, according to John Molinaro of TFC Republic.
Analysis: Manager Robin Fraser confirmed the injury, meaning Toronto will be without another body on defense -- a line that's already missing Matheus Pereira (groin) and Benjamin Kuscevic (groin). Stefanovic should be able to return to action at some point after the World Cup.
Foot injury confirmed
Stefanovic is out for the time being due to a foot injury, per the MLS Player Status Report.
Analysis: Stefanovic is a new addition to Toronto's already extensive injury report this matchday, and at this point, the club's injury situation has become one of the defining stories of the MLS season. He's a midfielder who has contributed in rotation for the club without being a regular fantasy starter. No timetable has been given, and Toronto's injury list now stands at ten players out and one questionable.
Subs off with knock Saturday
Stefanovic was forced to exit Saturday's 1-1 draw against San Jose Earthquakes after getting hurt at the end of the first half, Waking the Red reports.
Analysis: Stefanovic could have suffered an injury during his first MLS start of the season, but his exact status is still unclear. The event of a serious issue would add yet another problem to an injury-plagued Toronto squad, with rookie Micah Chisholm and the recently recovered Walker Zimmerman now emerging as the fittest options among central defenders.
